B is for Boy

Today I have finished my second project for the challenge over at Scraps of color over the cartridge challenge to make two cuts out. Last night I was texting back and forth with a friend and she asked me if I had updated my machines and I hadn't so this morning when I got up the first thing I did was update the E2 and the Imagine and hooked up the mini. Well I started with the Imagine with B is for Boy. I tried to cut the Dino out - I had print but STILL no CUT.....I am so upset I really hate to fussy cut but I hate to waste as well. So I hand cut the Dino and this was after the update and reboot. I also tried another cut the car but once again no cut so I went to the mini and it cut it but I had to open CCR I thought it was going to be a quick process just cutting the images then come back tonight and do the layout wrong.

The white tires didn't cut out right so I added brads and the wheel got torn so I added Black Enamel and the white is where the Imagine didn't cut and I wasn't going to fussy cut that out

okay the Dino is from the B is for Boy cart and the title I used my fav machine the Cameo

You can see I am not good at the fussy cutting. Also my wrist is still recovering from surgery last month.

I am going to try and use up the Calico Kits that I had received when I was in the club. For me it really was a waste of money at the time but hopefully I can get some use out of it now that I am trying to get back into my LO

And this little Animal is my grandson behind a cage at the football game last yr.

B is for Boy

Over at Scraps of Color, I joined in a group called Cartridge Project Challenge basically what you is pick a cartridge and make two things for the month. How simple is that well for me I want to get back into my layouts and get some of these pictures out of boxes and onto paper. Well I looked at the cartridge and I thought this was going to be a breeze buzz wrong answer. My E2 is still acting a fool it kept stopping on me and it wasn't even hooked up to CCR. So I went and got ole faithful my Expression and cut my title out for my page well I wasn't thinking about a shadow for my title so I had to cut a shadow by hand which I HATE cutting by hand and I distressed it with my distress-er. I followed a  sketch off p interest to complete my layout. I also pulled out the cameo to make the frame.

I am hoping to do better with this cartridge tomorrow it may end up being a card project.

A couple of challenges compeleted tonight

First up is the video from my friend Shanta over at Shtanah's YT channel She requested 3 embellishment and a spiritual quote or verse.  I combined her challenge with two over at Scraps of Color one is to alter a frame and the other challenge is to take two pictures of yourself a month.

This is what I came up with tonight
This was a broken piece of jewelry my cousin La Chanda had given she always think of me when she has lost or broke her jewelry. I used a spray from Micheal's. I had a picture from an old calendar that I love and oh yeah my favorite color is purple.

I used Mic bling and my scripture is my favorite Joshua 24:15. And yes I did go to church this morning to Bless the Lord and get my nourishment for the day

Friday Nite Chat

Tonight was the first night this year that I have participated over at Scraps of Color Friday Nite Chat.....what a blast we had tonight. We had 4 challenges - the first one started out with a digi image from Cheryl Seslar Designs and here is my card that I made with it. The challenge was to create a spring card

The 2nd challenge was an ATC, I haven't done an ATC in a long while but I wasn't feeling this challenge but it did get completed on time and posted.

The 3rd challenge was to create a layout of our President and you had to use red, white and blue along with a picture of President Obama and 3 stars. I am so glad of this kit I did long time ago over at YPP for the 4th of July.

and the final challenge was a card we had to use a dress and the card needed to be in red to represent Heart Awarness
It gave me a chance to use this Tim Holtz die that hasn't been used in forever and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps- Forever in our hearts

Well it is past my bed time so that is a wrap for tonight....

Vinyl night

Hello crafters, I haven't been in a crafting mood at all. Today I was doing laundry and I noticed the last shirt I did for hubby the vinyl was coming up. I had used vinyl from another company and I will not order from again so hubby asked if I could do some more shirts for him so I pulled out the superman cartridge and went to my favorite machine the E2 and pulled up the craftroom well my cuts stopped in mid image so I turned off CCR and went straight to the machine and tried again well the E  stopped mid image so I guess it is going out because this is the fourth time. I then went to my back up Expression and it worked just fine so I got several cuts made for him.

so he has enough cut outs for awhile.

Today is my cousin's birthday and I had the card made last week on a card challenge and I had this clipart image that I wanted to embroidery for her but I just got my upgrade machine a few days ago and I forgot the power cord and I have been to lazy to drive to the store to pick it up so I brought the image into the Silhouette Cameo

I had to watch a couple of video's because I couldn't remember how to separate the colors but I did it.

Well that is all for the night

Tonight I finally got up and started a project that I started back in April 2012. If you been with me awhile remember I went on the Cricut cruise well I haven't completed my smash book or my project type life of those pictures. Ha ha that is funny I really never started the project life of them. I cut the papers out and purchased the supplies and it sat. So tonight I went threw die cuts that I had probably two yrs ago from swaps and cuts that I made and just stored. I pulled out my book and started adding pictures down.
Sad right

well I will not bore you with the pictures of my completed pages but I did complete 6 pages tonight. After the cruise I think I had order something like 200 pictures from shutterfly so my main goal is just to add the pictures down and use up some of that ugly paper I bought in the beginning of my scrapbooking. I have tons of stickers that I will get rid of also. I can say one good thing for me this had made me really want to start a current project life but it will not be a normal one. I have been following Margret over at I love crafting and she makes it look so simple and nice. I love taking pictures of my grand kids so now I will be able to put it all down instead of having pictures all in boxes and totes everywhere. I would also love to make more scrap pages but I think this will be more simple and easy. Again I will not be sharing but only commenting on how many I complete for the cruise of April 2012.

Simple cards night

Hello crafty friends I haven't been in my craft room all weekend so tonight I had to get in there because tomorrow is my daughter in law birthday and I don't have any birthday cards sitting around. So I pulled up some of the card challenges and got busy. I started with Clean & Simple sketch. I saw a video on YouTube about 6x6 paper pads on sale for $.59 so I ran Sunday after church and in my area we have 3 Micheal's and I purchased every last one that they had. My friend in Mississippi bought some and I will send them to her but you will see these pads for awhile. It is My Mind's Eye Moment.

The flowers are from Micheal's dollar bin and the pearls are want to scrap. The stamp is CTMH.

Next sketch is from My Time Made Easy again I used the same paper pack Moments
I used the stamp set from my kit club Stamps of Life pinwheels2stamp and Micheal's bling

and last I am so proud of myself for keeping up with my 52 week Gratitude journal over at Inspired Stamps. This is a new week with a new bible verse. My journal is plain but I do write in mine thanking GOD everyday for another day..

Let's Scrap

Today I completed two layout sketches over at Let's Scrap I really enjoy doing LO and hopefully I will start back completing more.

These pictures were sitting in my box and hopefully I will get around to scrapping all of them this yr with this challenge 100 LO's

I went in my stash and got out the wood verniers and sprayed them and glossy accent

This paper is from close to my heart.....La Belle Vie Paper pack and I pulled all of my stash out so I will be using all those close to my heart kits......

Here is the second LO

I went in my football stash for my son and grand son pictures. My son's team is The University of Miami "the U" so for Christmas I ordered this jersey for him with his number and name and for my grandson I used vinyl and it is a cane thang in my house

I stitched on the paper with a two tone green. I cut the arrows out with my Cameo and ran them throw the small dots folder on the core paper and then ran my distressing tool over it.

I pulled out another vernier football and some sticker ones.
I added some ribbon from my stash as well.

Happy Birthday Kendra

Today is my oldest daughter Kendra's birthday. She turns 26 today. It is hard to believe that 26 yrs ago I was having this tiny little baby come into my life and she was born on a day that was marked in our little town history of the worst ice storm ever. My daughters favorite color is green so that was my main color and I went with my new fav cartridge Suburbia.

and you know I had to use a sketch. I used Feeling Sketchy  to complete this card.

and here are some quick pics of the birthday girl
Happy Bless Birthday Kendra, we love you and enjoy your day
