This is the final challenge for us :(
CHALLENGE #8 APR 16-30. 2012!
My Black is Beautiful! My Black is my BODY. Big, beautiful, slim,
trim, athletic, pleasing plump. This challenge is about sharing your
beautiful BODY! This will be the last which centers around our bodies!
So here is my take on mine.....I have been taken a product called Advocare and I am truly loosing the weight and I have been hitting the weights everyday so I am proud to show this body off.
Again I am using the same paper from Wal Mart - Colorbok Earth tone for the paper, I used Micheal's washi tape with the ladies on it. I had purchased a hair band at Dollar store that I had cut to lay on the washi tape. I used Mister Huey Dark Calico for the spots. The journal tabs were from Cosmo Cricket tiny Text. I cut the word Body out on my cameo and the blue roses were from recollections.....

Non Crafty week
Okay today I have been looking at my totes in my living room all week. I have been trying to organize myself so I can get back into a crafty mood. Well here is the mess on my floor and hubby has giving me until Monday to get it out of here. Yikes so you see what a hott mess. I got to stop spending and starting creating.
Okay so I stopped long enough to make hubby some cookies. When we were on the cruise every night he would go down to the Cafe and get him some English Toffee Cookies. One morning he emailed me the recipe he found so like a good wife I made them for him. So this is the second time I have made them and he just loves them now if I can just finish my organizing :(
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. soft shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
6-8 Heath candy bars, broken

Brother Machine He30
I saw this on one of the yahoo groups a follow awhile back and I thought what a great idea. Well last night when I went to bed I ran the dishwasher and when Hubby get in from work he was putting his dinner dishes in the dishwasher. I said hold up the light is on but he NEVER sees it so this is what I made to help him out for the next time.
So I added a magnet to the back of it and it will stick to the dishwasher.....Thanks ladies for sharing all your wonderful ideas

A few cards
I put a wobble on this image. As you can see I used the imagine to cut, I used the Yummy cartridge.
I also cut this out of Yummy for the inside
This card was created for a spring theme. I followed a YT tutorial to make the card and I used CTMH Art Philosophy for the first time to cut out flowers. I was so proud of myself of the way they turned out and for using my cartridge.
This was one of the $1 stamps from Micheal's
I used the Martha Stewart punch to cut the top with
I added seed packets in the pocket for the finishing touch. I used My Minds Eye -Dwell for the paper
Have a bless day

Cameo Dust Cover
Today while internet surfing I found a pattern for the cameo and I had some material up in my closet from when I worked at Joann's and I thought why not cover that baby up and get some dusk off of her. This is how my baby started out
And this is how she looks with her cover on her now.......
I also used my Brother HE 240 to embroidery Diva on the material. It is very simple but guess what I can say I COMPLETED a project tonight. I can't wait for my new machine so I can do larger items and use my cricut cuts/ cameo cuts to place on items. Well now I am off to find a pattern for the mini, imagine and E2.
I have also been working on my room and here are just a few items I have organized. My buttons and wash i tape. Once I get everything done in my room hopefully my MOJO will be back so I can whip out the projects.....
Have a bless evening

Happy Birthday Kendrian
Today is my grandson Kendrian's birthday. I can hardly believe little man has turned 5. I remember just like yesterday bringing him home from the hospital. My grandson loves basketball, there is a team he likes to go watch called Oklahoma City Thunder and he changed his name to KD. I thought it was so cute because his name is Kendrian DeAndre and silly me thought that is where the KD came from because I don't follow the basketball team until his mother told me why. So I have no mojo but I did manage to finish this card right under the wire. I used paper dolls, birthday bash and graphical speaking for my cuts. I used My Minds Eye Blink of an Eye for the paper.

My Black is Beautiful ~~Thighs~~
CHALLENGE #7 Apr 1-15, 2012! at Scraps of Color
My Black is Beautiful! My Black is my THIGHS, HIPS OR BUTT! You decide. Share yours and your thoughts and feelings about how beautiful or not your butts, hips or thighs are!
So my take on this challenge was my THIGHS....so on my page I am still using the same stack for this mini album the Colorbox from Walmart. I love doing this challenge because I am able to go in my stash and create my layout.
I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next week
Felisa
Falmouth Jamaica
Last destination on the cruise was Falmouth, Jamaica. First of all let me say that we are truly bless. It is so sad to see the less fortunate live in such poverty. Hubby and I went on a tour of The Great Hope Estate and the tour guide Romana
gave us such great information but my memory is so bad that I can't tell you all the information she was given us. We did go right by the area that Usain Bolt the track star was raised. Which is amazing but since we were on the bus I didn't take any pictures but the living areas were terrible and in my eyes unlivable.
The Great Hope Estate was just beautiful hubby and I took the walking tour around the area and caught up with the tour guide to tell about different locations on the property.
They also do weddings at this estate
Such neat things in this house from the past
The owner of this home was the first to install copper pipes in a home and the guide side it was the cause of his death as well.
This was a huge concrete tub if my memory serves me correct he said 7 feet.
This is the wedding cottage
The grounds
The humming bird had longest tail we have every seen
the table setting
The entrance of the grand house with hubby up front
Look at that view just beautiful.....I can imagine waking up to that everyday
This has got to be the biggest tree root I have every seen
Romana told us what these were and I believe she said Asian bamboo and these suckers grow very tall
I caught this worker setting out traps
This was the old wheel that was used back in the day for the sugar plant that is next door and still working but they no longer use the mill
they kept the horses here and you can take the horse buggy ride
The view from the Great House
This was the gate house before the big house
Also in the gate house
This was the side view
Pics inside of the house and as HOT as it was outside -- inside of the house was very cool with only the windows open
