Happy Easter

These are some pictures I took on our drive to California, I can't remember what city in Texas they are in but we make a point to stop every-time we drive through.

A little surprise for some Christians, Easter and the Passover have nothing in common. Even thought the Bible uses the term, it still doesn't mean there is common ground which leads to acceptance of this holiday. The true Passover, is a memorial of the crucifixion of Christ. Passover for New Testament believers. And by the early true Church in the Old Testament it was a shadow of things to come namely Christ. It was not conducted on Sunday or any fixed day of the week, but a calendar day of the year. The day of the week varies from year to year as we shall see from Scripture.

Scraps of Color Challenge

Over at Scraps of Color this week the challenge in the group SVG File Friends

Use an SVG file in an Easter or Spring related project. The project can be a LO, card, altered art, or anything of your choosing.

I used my Cameo to come up with both LO for Easter pictures that I will take on Easter Sunday. The files are all from the silhouette store.

Playing around tonight

Today I didn't feel like scrapping and of course it is bed time and I want to scrap but can't but I ran in my room to try this holder that I bought last yr and yes it works just fine. I did a quick little note card using a design from silhouette store and a gel pen

As you can see from the date Feb 13,12 so sad and I am just now pulling it out of it's bag. So I will be playing with this new/old tool tomorrow

A Little work

Hello, well I haven't been to productive this weekend. Hubby and I had our grand daughters Friday night and Saturday we drove to our house in Kansas to check on our other house. The weather is so different between KS and Oklahoma so Saturday I didn't feel like scrapping because it was so cold. We got a lot of snow up in KS Sunday and during our drive back to OK it was still snowing and hubby only got up to 45 on the highway but once we hit OK there was little to no snow. So Sunday evening I started another mini  even though I have 2 others that I have started that isn't complete. I really did like this paper but now that I have laid down some on the mini I really don't like it but maybe after I put some pictures on it - it won't be so bad. It is a 4x4 mini with paper from the 6x6 My Mind's Eye Collectable. Oh and I did finish my cricut album just need to do the journaling. One project down and so many more to go.

Easter Cards

Here are some quick cards I did tonight using my cricut expression and the cartridge is New Testament and I love all the crosses in this cartridge. So these cards will go for the challenge over at Scraps of Color  Cartridge Project group

On this one my paper started slipping but it is okay it isn't perfect but my family will like it also I didn't stamp straight :(

This one is my all time favorite, I ran it through the ebosser with the cuddle bug folder and the CTMH Stamp love it.

This one was cut with the Cameo and it was a very intricate cut but I love how it came out as well.

Mini crazy

I have been on this mini craze for awhile now. I have watched so many videos and been wanted to produce some and I finally sit down and started.  Last night I started on this one for my grand son with this yummy paper from Basic Grey Hey Boy. I just need to finish covering the envelopes and it is complete

so hopefully tonight it will be complete if I can get back in my scrap room

I also have started this one with Cassie on YT she did #3 today and I am caught up with her.

This mini uses 8x8 paper and this has been in my stash forever so I will be able to get rid of some paper yeah. so far this mini is so simple and she is going to do pop ups in and I can't wait. I will post once the mini's are complete

Nothing much

Well today I had to take my kids to their dad's/grand dad so I was on the highway the majority of the day and when I got home I took a little nap. Then I received an email from a friend that one of the ladies we had friend on the cricut cruise that her cancer has come back so that got me up  ~sending prayers her way and I was trying to explain to hubby who she is and I went to get my cricut album that isn't complete so I got my things set out for tomorrow so I can get that album done. It will be a yr next month so sad but while doing that I completed a couple of my type of Project Life pages. I print so many pictures and they just be laying around that I have no excuse not to put them in the album so here is a few pages I did

Then I came into my scrap room and found these payment coin envelope that I had picked up a couple of yrs ago and I want so bad to do a mini so I started them tonight and hopefully I can get up and finish both projects tomorrow.

Not sure what paper I will use for this mini but it will be fun....well time to hit the sack

Teeny Tiny Itty Bitty Books

Today I completed my Teeny Tiny Itty Bitty Books over at Mini Album Scraps I followed Mrs. Dee's tutorial on youtube and it was just what I need to complete these mini books. I made the mistake of watching  both video's of Lia's  and Mrs. Dee's at the same time and got myself off but my second set came out okay at least I think so but good thing I will use my first set for myself on projects.  (I say that because they didn't have the same measurements so that is why I said mistake but I love both of them)

I used a sheet of create paper Portrait Collection ~ Honeymoon and the Tim Holtz die for the frame to ship them out in.

I added pockets and used a fiskar die for the little tags to add to the pockets

I even cut the dies for the top pockets

The only regret I have is that I didn't get the ribbon long enough to make a cute bow :(

Now off these babies go

Have a Bless one

St Patrick's Day complete

This is so sad but I finally got a chance to get in my room and scrap today. My daughter has been here all week and I have been occupied with her and the boys so today was my day. Had a wonderful service at church then came home and cooked dinner and moved right into my scrap haven.

I completed my grandson layout for St Patrick's Day since I made him a shirt I thought I would scrap it. I will be using this LO for the challenge over at Scraps of Color Theme LO for the month ~ Good Luck, Lucky Charms, St. Patty's Day

If you remember on my posting of his tee shirt I did the vinyl for I used the dog cut out and this is the cut that I used the Blackout of the image so why waste it lol I don't know what I did with the color so I used a sticker from a set and wrote on it. the paper is from a studio calico kit that I had and I used We R Memories journal card

I used a green gel pen to stitch around the page and images

My grand son loves to act lol......I used vellum for the first time on a project and I love it

I finally got around to using those thickers in my stash and the date stamp

I also completed a couple of pages for my son's track file journal so now I am caught up with the track meets.  I just love this file folder brag book so simple and quick. If you want to know how I posted the link a few postings ago

Easter Cards

I completed a couple of simple Easter cards using a few cartridges. I used Easter 2010 and Create a Critter 2 for my cuts. I will use these cards for my challenge over at Scraps of Color cricut challenge.

This card I watched Janis video and completed this Triangle fold card very simple instructions and I loved how it came out.

Also over the weekend over at Scraps of Color SVG group had a challenge to use a svg and you can use it any way you want. So I followed another youtube tutorial over a file folder  and I will be using it for my son's track pictures. He had a track meet last Friday and he did well and I am the mom that will snap a lot of pics so I have plenty of room in this file folder to add his pictures. I haven't completed it and we have another track meet tomorrow so I am hoping I can get up in the morning and add some more pages so tomorrow night I can just print the pictures and add them right to my brag book.

I used a SVG from the Silhouette store to cut with my Cameo.

Well I am off to bed since tomorrow is going to be a very long day with the track meet and being out in the cold.

I even pulled out the Expression to make some cuts. I used Simply Charmed for the cake. I can't remember which 6x6 paper pack I used right now. I used Feeling Sketchy to complete the card.

On this card I used Father's Day cartridge and CTMH Artiste for the Happy Birthday Banner. The sketch is from Mojo Monday

Well two cards complete now to get back on my Easter Cards

Have a bless weekend
