Mojo Monday

This week's challenge was an nice layout but my mojo is still on vacation so I made a VERY SIMPLE card no fuss at all. My cousin  birthday is Friday and I just used the sketch here and added the Michael's stamp for the Happy Birthday. I have some ribbon from awhile back from Hobby Lobby that I used to set the red off. The red glitter paper is from AC cardstock.

I usually do not print any pictures of me looking crazy but I found this one of me and my son all "Bug Eyed" I can be a silly person when I want to and this day I had to because the boys were so bummed because we were at a Nascar race in Atlanta and guess what we got rained out. First of all it is a 7 hour drive to my sisters then she drove us to Atlanta another 6 hours. We got down and had dinner went to the hotel to check in and off to the race in the rain and when we got up that morning more rain :(

So my layout I used a spare paper with Mr Huey dark calico mist on the white. I use to enter all kinds of swap (die cuts) so I found a few pieces and painted them added some Hobby Lobby ribbon and a bling in the center. I added some washia tape in the top with two small saftey pins in the green family. The thickers are American Crafts "Regards" that everyone was running out to get at TJMAXX. I also sewed around the edge again and journal around the page

I can't wait to see what the next challenge will be. I am so happy to get some pictures on a layout until next time BE BLESS

SOC Summertime Blog Hop

Today is the last day for the SOC Summertime Hop. Remember also that SOC is giving away a prize as well.

For my last project for the hop I found this beautiful picture of my grand daughter Sunny. I am really enjoying doing these layouts and getting some of the pictures that I have finally got a few scrapped. Sunny is 1 of the 3 grand daughters we have. It is hard to believe that Nana's baby girl will be 2 in August. As you can see she is a big girl wearing her shades in her seat. I choose to use a kit I bought last year and forgot all about because I mainly use boy paper. This kit was from Create Paper called Pink Plum and the kit had everything and more so I need to pull out more pics of my grand daughters.

Lovely was in the kit but her name Sunny was from Lizzy thickers and the dollar tree butterfly that I had just sitting

 

Priceless was a epoxy sticker and this picture of Sunny is priceless

 

I cut the sunglasses from my slice  Summer cartridge and added stickles around and the yellow cut was also from the slice machine the Noel cartridge

 

The flower was from the collection and I added the bling on top of it

 

It was time for me to dust the dusk off the sewing machine so I stitched all around the page

For my day 2 project I did a layout of my grandson having fun at Katy Day. It is a yearly event that they have and this was just a year that we happen to have one of the grand kids with us but we have decided next yr all the grand-kids will go and enjoy the fun......

SOC's Hot Fun in the Summertime Blog Hop

                                               
Each participant is asked to create a summer themed project to celebrate Summer fun on SOC! Projects on vacations, family reunions, BBQs, July 4th, favorite summer outfits, cool treats, or using summer colors are welcomed. I chose to put a twist on my project we are more outdoor family. Hubby got the old tractor up and running for projects around the house this summer. We had our grandson with us one weekend and he got to play with Papa on the big boy toy.

So I decided to do a two page spread of my boy guys. I mainly used DCWV The Guy Stack for the accent stripes and the journal pieces.

Oklahoma City Thunder's are still winners in my book

Although my guys lost last night they are still WINNERS in my book. We have a young team here and we will be back next year were I will be physically sitting in the arena with my grandson KD watching the boys take it.

Man what a game last night. I think I have told you how my grandson has changed his name to KD like the basketball player KD Kevin Durant....well we watched the game at my sisters last night and we were all going for the Thunder except my nephew Cameron who even had on his Heat jersey lol

Mojo Mondays

This week on Mojo Monday they had a cute sketch but I like all of them it just so happen I need Father's Day Cards so I used this sketch for Hubby's card. He has grown his mustache back and I really don't like it but it isn't my face right. So I went in my stash and I found this $1 stamp from Joann's last yr and this is the first time using it and his favorite color is blue so it just worked out great. I used the Stella Rose Hattie Papers 6x6 pad and my fiskars scallop punch.

I just got back from a weekend trip with my high school classmates from Topeka, KS and we had a blast. So this week's challenge was right on time for me. My BFF's are Cheval, Roshanta, Shawn and Kay-Kay. Kay-Kay is the one who lives in Topeka and she had a few surprises for us. Saturday morning we were to be downstairs and ready to go at 9. We didn't know what she had planned but she had a limo and it was so nice. Nice driver and music for our ride to Kansas City. We went to the National Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and learned a lot of info about KC so their will be more layouts or smash pages to come over this trip because I got a lot of pics to share.

I used my Cameo to cut my titles out. I used Michael's $1 flowers and prima bling.

 I used my washi tape, studio calico camera and painted it black. We had stopped at a Goodwill in KS and I bought a child's dictionary and that is where I cut out the word friend and pasted it in. I used Bazzill card stock and I tried to use the SEI Tumble dye in black but it was a bit messy for me but I wasn't going to throw it out. The pattern paper I used was It's the little things by Fancy Pants 6x6......Oh in the pic we only held the glasses up for the photo we are all non drinking friends :)
